Ethics and Transparency - Registration

Date and time: 3/15/2016, 10:00 am - 11:15 am
Category: Webinars
Description:Third in the Leadership Series:
Being ethical and transparent is what one ought to be. Ethical behaviors and transparent practices can improve the effectiveness and image of the public sector. Some key questions about ethics and transparency are: How does a public employee sort through competing interests to determine “the right thing to do”? How do public employees put ethical values into practice? What does being “transparent” mean?

Many ethics and transparency laws have been enacted in California to try to gain back and preserve the public’s trust. During this webinar, we will discuss core ethical principles, how they are affected by the new laws (such as the California Public Records Act), and how they relate to transparency. We will focus on the areas of prohibitions, transparencies and fairness, and how these new laws affect your organization.
